Cycle race with two options for the competitor. (1) ½ race from Pahokee to South Bay and back or (2) A full race around Lake Okeechobee equal to 118 miles. The course is double tracked with 60% paved and 40% dirt. Several check points, water stations and restroom breaks will be available around the lake.

Held at the Old Course at Broken Sound in Boca Raton, this is a major event on the Champions PGA Tour featuring the top senior golfers in the country. The field consists of 78 Champions Tour golfers, competing in a 54 hole stroke play. The Allianz offers a total purse of $1.65 million.

Brad Banks, local football superstar, is hosting a quarterback clinic now through May 2009. Banks was the quarterback for the University of Iowa in 2002 and was first runner-up for the Heisman Trophy.

The Palm Beach County KDW Classic is hosted by the City of Riviera Beach and the West Palm Beach Fishing Club. The event will take place May 30th, at the Riviera Beach Marina. Their goal is to produce a fun and reasonably priced fishing tournament that stimulates the local marine and fishing industry, helps promote Riviera Beach and Palm Beach County, and benefits the the marine conservation and educational efforts of the WPBFC and it's charitable affiliate, the Palm Beach County Fishing Foundation. There are over $32,000 in cash awards plus over $20,000 in valuable raffle items and trophies.

The 2009 NSA Sanctioned Swamp Classic is scheduled for June 19th thru the 21st. We are also proud to announce this year's Swamp Classic tournament will host the NSA 8U Florida State Championship.

The Tyler McLellan Foundation will host it's 1st Annual "Tyler's Day" Fundraiser on Saturday June 27, 2009 at Palm Beach Central High School. The foundation was started by Tyler's dad Kevin and step mother Karin just days after Tyler's tragic death on an "Angel Flight" July 17,2008 while accompaning a family friend to receive cancer treatment in Orlando. Tyler was 15 years-old. The goal of the foundation is to assist parents who can't afford to keep their kids in youth sports. Proceeds go to Youth sports programs in Palm Beach & Martin County.

Palm Beach's Corporate Dodgeball Tournament

Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and Dodge at the first Corporate Dodgeball tournament of the Palm Beaches benefiting the youth programs of the Gulf Stream Council, Boy Scouts of America. This “round robin” tournament will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Northwood university in West Palm Beach. The tournament is open to all businesses, civic groups, service clubs, college clubs, and/or groups of individuals. The winning team will receive a $1000 cash prize and the coveted traveling trophy! Only 30 teams will be accepted for the 2009 corporate tournament, so register your team today!

The first 3 days are practice rounds and the last 6 days are the actual competition.)

Kings Academy High School The Heath Evans Foundation will host its annual 7-on-7 Flag Football Championships on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Kings Academy High School in West Palm Beach. The invitation-only, 16-team tournament, which benefits the Heath Evans Foundation, is scheduled will start at 9am. NFL players are expected to attend the tournament, providing tips to the high school players. Last year, Randy Moss, Matt Cassel, Wes Welker and Kevin Faulk attended. Tickets are $5 person and available at the gate. The King’s Academy is located at 8401 Belvedere Road, approximately one mile east of 441. Proceeds from this tournament will benefit the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Heath Evans Foundation, which is dedicated to fostering hope and healing in the lives of children and families affected by sexual abuse. The AYSO National Games will take place at the International Polo Club in Wellington from July 4-11, 2010. This is one of the most prestigious soccer tournaments in the country, which takes place once every two years. Over 200 teams and 3,500 athletes are expected to come from across the nation to compete in age divisions that range from 8u to 18u. Delray Beach Tennis Center This tournament is the highest level junior tennis tournament in the country for boys 16u & 18u divisions. This event will be held from July 17-25, 2010 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. The draw consists of 192 participants in each age division (384 total), consisting of the highest-ranked players in the US competing in singles and doubles competition.
