The Honda Classic will be in full swing on Monday, February 20th through Sunday, February 26th as the field of 144 PGA TOUR professionals takes to the links at PGA National Resort & Spa to compete for a total purse of $6.4 million. This tournament marks the eleventh consecutive year The Honda Classic will be contested on PGA National Resort & Spa’s Champion Course, and the fifteenth consecutive year it has called Palm Beach County home. The opening tournament rounds tee off at 7:00am on Thursday, February 25th and Friday, February 26th. Weekend action begins at 9:00am on Saturday, February 27th and Sunday, February 28th.
The Honda Classic has compiled one of the best fields of pro golfers outside of the four golf majors in the world this year. Last year, the tournament featured legends, such as Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler, Brooks Koepka, Luke Donald, Justin Rose, Zach Johnson, Lee Westwood, Sergio Garcia, and Rory McIlroy.
The Honda Classic is one of Palm Beach County’s marquee sporting events. In 2016, the tournament attracted over 200,000 spectators between Monday’s Miami Dolphins Pro-Am and a dramatic finish that saw Adam Scott claim the Honda Classic Championship.
