Roger Dean Stadium will be home to exciting Florida State League Baseball from April 6 to September 3, 2017. The Palm Beach Cardinals and the Jupiter Hammerheads (Single-A affiliates for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins) will face each other in 17 games as well as 70 home games each. You can catch a minor league game almost any night between April and September as each team looks to polish players for the big leagues.

Collegiate League of The Palm Beaches

The Collegiate League of The Palm Beaches is a wood bat summer collegiate baseball league that will take place at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches from June 1 through August 3, 2017. The Collegiate League of The Palm Beaches will draw over 100 amateur baseball players competing in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and II as well as the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). These baseball players will form a league that allows some of the top collegiate baseball prospects in the nation to showcase and improve their skills. A significant number of professional baseball scouts is expected to attend the event. The college baseball players will travel from across the United States to participate in the Collegiate League of The Palm Beaches. The players will stay in hotels for nearly 60 nights, which should lead to a room night generation that exceeds 1,500

USA Baseball National Team Championship

USA baseabll will bring its National Team Championships to Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, the ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, and the Santaluces Athletic Complex in Lantana, from June 16-30, 2017. Over 100 teams consisting of nearly 2,000 athletes from across the nation will contend for championships in the 14U, 15U, and 17U age groups. This event serves as the East National Team Championship, which takes place simultaneously with the USA Baseball's West National Team Championship in Arizona. The USA Baseball National Team Championships will be one of the largest amateur baseball tournaments taking place in Florida.

Coast to Coast Baseball Showcase

Coast to Coast Baseball prepares the nation's top high school baseball players for success at the collegiate and professional levels. The goal is to build and showcase the skills of young, aspiring athletes in an environment that allows them to experience what it's like to play at the college level. This showcase will take place at Roger Dean Stadium. A total of 16 teams comprised of approximately 20 players each will compete. Teams are formed after the athletes register for the camp and showcase. The event is expected to fill over 100 room nights.

The South Florida PGA Junior Championship and Challenge Tours are premiere membership-based junior golf programs providing competitive and fun tournament experiences for golfers with the aspirations and skill levels to compete at the high school and collegiate levels. Both tours encompass an eleven-month season of tournament golf played on championship golf courses. The South Florida PGA Junior Challenge Tour will visit the Old Course at Broken Sound on June 26-27. This junior golf tournament will feature 36 holes of golf. A total of 84 boys and girls will be competing in a variety of age groups (13-15, & 16-18). The Bill Dickey Invitational Junior Golf Championship will take place in Palm Beach County for the third consecutive year. The Palm Beach County Sports Commission has partnered with the Bill Dickey Scholarship Association to bring this national golf tournament to The Palm Beaches. The Bill Dickey Invitational Junior Golf Championship enables 40+ minority junior and high school players with single-digit handicaps to compete in a 36-hole medal play tournament. This year’s event will take place at IBIS Country Club. In addition to the three days of competition, this event features a Pro / Junior Golf Challenge. The event is expected to generate over 200 hotel room nights during June.

Ball Stars Youth Camp

The Cities of Rivera Beach, Belle Glade, West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens will be home to a series of youth basketball camps conducted by NBA (National Basketball Association) legends. Ball Stars Youth Camp, led by NBA All-Star and former chairman for the NBA Retired Players Association, Otis Birdsong, expanded its program into Palm Beach County two years ago. Ball Stars Youth Camp has an 9-year history with a mission provide free camps to underserved children and teens. In addition to Otis Birdsong, the camp included other former NBA stars, such as Michael Ray Richardson and Anthony Goldwire.

Cal Ripken Rookie State Championship

Palm Beach Gardens Baseball, a division of the Palm Beach Gardens Youth Athletic Association (PBGYAA), will host the Cal Ripken Rookie State Championships at Gardens Park on Jun 28-July 2, 2017. The event will determine the state champion for the rookie division, which features players between the ages of 7 and 8. The tournament will attract 50 teams and 600 youth players across Florida. Perfect Game Florida Classic

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is partnering with Perfect Game Youth Florida, a subdivision of Perfect Game USA, to create the Perfect Game Florida Classic, which will take place at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches from July 1-5, 2017. Approximately 50 teams, 900 athletes, and over 2,000 total visitors will travel to Palm Beach County to participate in the inaugural Perfect Game Florida Classic. Teams will be traveling from across Florida and the southeast region of the United States. Participating teams will compete in pool play followed by the bracket play. Each team is guaranteed 4 games. There will also be a skills competition held in conjunction with the baseball tournament. This event is expected to generate 1,000 room nights for Palm Beach County hotels.

Big Dog Fat Cat KDW Shootout

The Big Dog Fat Cat KDW Shootout is an offshore fishing tournament that will take place in Palm Beach County on July 7-8. This fishing tournament, which is sanctioned by the Southern Kingfish Association, will launch from the Sailfish Marina in the City of Riviera Beach. The Sailfish Marina will also host captain’s meetings, weigh-in stations, and the awards dinner. The Big Dog Fat Cat KDW Shootout will draw over 250 boats and 1,000 anglers from across Florida and the southeast region of the United States. The event is expected to create a strong tourism impact for Palm Beach County.
