LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. – The Florida Women’s Hockey League (FWHL) will launch its 2026-27 season when teams from across the Sunshine State compete at Palm Beach Skate Zone from September 18-20 for the league’s season-opening tournament. The event will showcase the growth of women’s hockey in Florida and bring together players representing communities from Pensacola and Jacksonville to Miami.
Founded in 2002, the Florida Women’s Hockey League is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting women’s ice hockey throughout the state. The league currently features 11 teams and provides competitive opportunities for adult women ages 18 and older who share a passion for the sport.
The season opener at Palm Beach Skate Zone marks the first event on the FWHL’s 2026-27 tournament schedule and is expected to welcome players, coaches, families, and supporters from across Florida. Throughout the weekend, teams will compete in a series of games as they begin their pursuit of league success and establish momentum for the season ahead.
